David Gourley
David Gourlay joined TotalEnergies in 1997 as Economist in Paris, before being transferred to Luanda. When he came back to France, he started his Reservoir Engineer carrier on Bolivian and Trinidad assets before being transferred to Houston in 2004 as TotalEnergies E&P USA Reservoir Managers. From 2007 to 2013, he oversaw all subsurface studies on 2 majors Angolan projects (CLOV (500 Mboe / 1 FPSO) and KAOMBO (650 Mboe / 2 FPSOs) until investment sanction. In 2013, he joined the TotalEnergies E&P Research and Development as Reservoir Program Manager, in charge of all research in Reservoir Simulation and modeling, Enhanced Oil Recovery, and Well Data Acquisition. He moved in 2017 in the New venture group of TotalEnergies, as New Venture Project Director for Brazil. As such, he participated for TotalEnergies at different exploration bids (ANP and PSC), but also Discovered Resources Opportunity bids (Surplus ToR bid round in 2019). He was also in charge of farm-in and farmout opportunity in Brazil. As of Summer 2021, he is Vice President Southern Cone for TotalEnergies Exploration and Production, overlooking at activities in Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia.
